About Us
Welcome to the website of the Mandurah Over 55 Cycling Club. Both experienced and inexperienced riders are catered for by having groups that cycle different distances, and at different speeds.
Welcome to the website of the Mandurah Over 55 Cycling Club. Both experienced and inexperienced riders are catered for by having groups that cycle different distances, and at different speeds.

We split into small groups and ride to different locations in and around Mandurah. The rides are around 2½ hours, broken with morning tea.
After the rides, tea and coffee are available at the clubhouse and members can stay for a chat. There are several members who ride electric bikes and tandem bikes, including a sight-impaired member.
Social rides are arranged during the week, especially on Fridays. Rides to Perth are rostered on the ride calendar. This calendar is also circulated in print form and covers a three to four month period.
Club Tours

Cycling tours within WA are organised during the year. Caravan visits to regional centres in the southwest are popular, with day cycle tours in the surrounding districts.
Back up vehicles, with first aid facilities, let you decide how far and when to cycle. A “Tail End Charlie” is a requirement of every ride so you are never left stranded.
Overseas cycling tours have also been organised in recent years in the form of Bike/Barge tours, visiting France, The Netherlands, Italy and Croatia. The 2019 overseas tour began in Amsterdam, then on to Germany, and the north of France. The 2020 Bike/Barge tour will see members touring through Belgium.

As well as cycling, regular social get togethers make up an important part of the club’s activities.
Functions include lunches and dinners at local cafes and restaurants, with the annual Melbourne Cup lunch and the Australia Day celebration always well attended. Organised visits and tours to places of interest (Optus Stadium coming up), are also included on the calendar.
Cycling holidays feature on the club program and these can include tours within Western Australia, interstate, and overseas. From time to time workshops and lectures are also offered to members. These are varied and can include sessions on bike maintenance, and lectures on First Aid. Recent presentations on Cyber Crime, and Making Wills proved very popular.
Members who do not cycle can participate in these events by being a social member for $20 per annum (conditions apply).
Visitors are welcome and we often play host to overseas and inter-state visitors.
